ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President & COO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) announced today that it has won the bidding process for a construction contract regarding a sewerage treatment facility construction project (hereinafter the “Project”) being implemented by the KRG in Erbil, the central city of the KRG in the Republic of Iraq.

Çalık Enerji ranked 10th in the International Contracting Services Achievement Awards organized by the Turkish Contractors Association. Chairman of the Board, Mr. Ahmet Çalık, received his award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the ceremony.

 

The 2nd Turkey-Senegal Business Forum, organized in cooperation with the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) and the Senegalese National Agency for Investment and Major Projects Support (APIX), was held in Istanbul on Friday, November 1, 2024, with the participation of Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and approximately 500 businesspeople from both countries. As part of the Business Forum, meetings were held between the Senegalese Ministry of Agriculture and Çalık Enerji to develop bilateral economic and commercial relations, and a cooperation agreement was signed.
 

The 1st Tisza CCGT Project Signing Ceremony was Held. Çalık Enerji is proud to be the prime contractor for the 1,000 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project, which will be implemented at the MVM Tisza Power Plant Ltd. site in Tiszaújváros, Hungary.

As Çalık Enerji, we have signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to strengthen our cooperation in the fields of decarbonization and green transformation in Türkiye and third countries. This agreement reinforces our leading role in the energy sector and at the same time the implementation of our renewable energy and climate change projects. It aims to expand our cooperation with Japanese companies in a wide geographical area, including Türkiye, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa and the Western Balkans.
