“Enerjik Okullar Faz II Projesi” Amasya’da Meslek Lisesi Öğrencileri İle Buluştu

Çalık Enerji, Mitsubishi Corporation and The Sustainability Steps Association [SADE] "Energetic Schools Phase II Project", which aims to raise the awareness of vocational high school students on sustainability, climate change, renewable energy and technology, was held in Amasya on 21-22 November. The project reached approximately 300 students in Amasya with the contribution of Amasya Provincial Directorate of National Education and hosted by Amasya University. A total of 1000 and tens of thousands of vocational high school students will be reached through digital channels with the physical project that will continue in Malatya and Samsun.

The project reached approximately 300 students in Amasya with the contribution of Amasya Provincial Directorate of National Education and hosted by Amasya University. The "Energetic Schools Phase II Project", carried out in cooperation with Çalık Enerji, Mitsubishi Corporation and Sustainability Steps Association [SADE], and with the budget received by Mitsubishi Corporation from the Tokyo-based Corporate Social Responsibility Participation Fund, started in Amasya. The awareness raising seminars and workshops on sustainability, climate change, energy and technology were held for approximately 300 vocational high school students with the contributions of Amasya Provincial Directorate of National Education. Bekir Sıtkı Dağ, who is the deputy governor of Amasya, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Elmacı, who is the Rector of Amasya University and Mehmet Türkmen, who is the Director of Amasya Provincial Directorate of National Education participated the opening ceremony of the project.

It is aimed to reach 1000 students physically and tens of thousands of students throughout Turkey digitally With the project, which will continue in Malatya and Samsun after Amasya.

Students found the opportunity to look at problems with a solution-oriented perspective and to work as a team.

Nearly 300 students from Suluova Şehit Erkan Ayas Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Şehit Gültekin Tırpan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Merzifon Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School participated in the project.

After the speeches of Gökmen Topuz, who is the Deputy General Manager of Çalık Enerji, Emrah Kurum, who is the President of Sustainability Steps Association, Gaye Tıuğrulgöz who is the Board Chairman of Social Climate Association, and İlker Elal, who is the Minorpreneurs Co-Founder; On the second day, solution workshops under the headings of sustainability, climate change, renewable energy and technology were held with the participation of representative vocational high school students and teachers. The students found the opportunity to look at the problems with a solution-oriented approach and to work as a team in the solution workshops.

It will be reached more students by transferring the project to digital media

The aforementioned events will be transferred to the digital environment and more students will be reached with the website to be opened after the physical activities to be held in Amasya, Malatya and Samsun. The basic concepts of sustainability, the effects of climate change on our lives, renewable energy sources and the importance of digitalization and technology in sustainability will be explained to high school students in an appropriate and understandable language.
